Oaxacan Hemingway

Gracias a Dios Mezcal Espadín Joven, refreshing, bright, and balanced, this riff on a paloma was made to be a back porch sipper.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Gracias a Dios Mezcal Espadín Joven

  • 1 oz grapefruit juice

  • 0.25oz maraschino liqueur

  • 0.25oz simple syrup (to make, combine 1 cup of hot water with 1.5 cups of sugar and shake vigorously until dissolved)

  • 2 slices fresh jalapeño

Instructions:

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake.

Double strain into a highball glass over ice.

Garnish with a grapefruit slice.
